  • The Shrine Treasurers Association of North America is an Association of the Treasurers of the 191 Shrine Temples throughout North America.  The Shrine of North America is an International fraternity of approximately 425,000 members throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada, and Panama.  The Shrine's official philanthropy is Shriners Hospitals for Children, a network of 22 hospitals that provide expert, no-cost orthopedic and burn care to children under the age of 18.  We invite you to explore our Web site to find out more about these three special organizations.

Current News

  • The 2008 Midwinter Seminar was held at the InterContinental Tampa Hotel in Tampa, FL on March 2-4.  Eighty Five Shrine treasurers were in attendance, along with 13 Shrine officials and guests.  The session kicked off Sunday morning with a workshop for new treasurers, followed by a meeting of the executive committee.  The afternoon was available for several to compete in the annual treasurers' golf tournament, consisting of two foursomes.  The President, Paul Gregg, and his Lady were honored with a Reception Sunday night.

  • On Monday morning the group got down to work with a full agenda of items ranging from Executive Vice President Mike Andrews' presentation on the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly to a comprehensive review of Accounting 101 and correct recording and reporting formats.  The Imperial Potentate, Doctor Bernie Lemieux, M.D., and Imperial Treasurer Gene Bracewell spoke to the group during the afternoon session.  Tuesday morning was dedicated to the popular open forum led by the General Council for the Shrine, Noble Ted Corsones, and Chairman of Jurisprudence and Laws Committee, Noble Warren Upton.

  • During the session on Monday William M. "Bill" Harward, CPA, CFP, CFE, was elected as the 3rd Vice President.  Others in the line were re-elected to their respective and elevated positions.

  • The Association's next scheduled meeting will be Sunday, June 29, at 8:30 a.m. in St. Louis, MO, at the Renaissance Hotel during the annual session of the Imperial Shrine.

Our Mission

  • To provide publications and newsletters that will provide Shrine Temples with a source of valuable information

  • To provide a Midwinter meeting for training, legislation, and exchange of ideas which will assist Temples in solving their financial and accounting problems.

Vision Statement

  • Assist all Temple Treasurers to perform their elected task as Chief Financial Officers of their respective Temples.

  • To employ the latest acceptable financial and accounting principles at all Shrine Temples in order to maximize Temple operating and financial performance.

  • To enhance the individual Temple Treasurers position so that it will attract the most qualified Nobles within our organization.

  • Develop and make recommendations that will further safeguard our Temples from financial and operating risks.
