Welcome

Current News

  • Greetings:

On behalf of STANA President, Julian S. White, Jr., and the other officers of our Shrine Treasurers Association, I want to welcome the NEW Shrine Treasurers to our association and congratulate the returning members.

The first, and largest, activity of the year for our association is our Spring Seminar.  In addition to staging an educational forum for the exchange of ideas relating to the financial operation of a Shrine Temple, we try to have a little fun and entertainment for everyone, including our ladies.  The seminar is scheduled for March 27- 29 in Tampa, FL at the Quorum Hotel, just minutes from the Tampa airport.

Enclosed you will find a tentative agenda and a registration form.  Please note the March 13 deadline for discounted room rates.  Remember, it is easier to cancel a reservation than it is to find one at the last minute.  Also, note that we are having an off-site Installation of Officers at Busch Gardens.  There will be lots of fun, food, and entertainment – plus, the price is right! Registration deadline date is February 5, 2010

New treasurers are especially urged to attend the workshop at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning.  Matt Noell, Director of Temple Accounting, will host this event and many seasoned treasurers return year after year to stay up to speed on financial record-keeping required by Shriners International.

We are notifying you to send in your Association dues for 2010. Your Association dues are now due and should be sent in NLT January 15, 2010. Please contact one of your officers if you have any questions or suggestions.

    Fraternally,

    Ralph A. Calhoun II, Secretary-Treasurer
